Unit Details: Provides ultrasound imaging of the heart and great vessels for adult patients and technical assistance with exercise and non-exercise stress testing. Performs two-dimensional echocardiography, M-Mode, contrast echocardiography, and color flow, pulsed, and continuous-wave Doppler studies. Assists with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), stress echocardiograms, functional and pharmacological cardiolite testing, Holter monitoring, and event monitoring. Evaluates ventricular systolic and diastolic function, valvular insufficiency, stenosis, regurgitation, shunts, and congenital heart malformations. Demonstrates proficiency in pediatric echocardiograms. Participates in mobile echo/vascular service regionally.
Shift & Scheduling: M-F: 715am - 345pm. Start times: 645,700,715,730. Weekend rotation. Rotating weekday on-call 4p-7a. Participates in callback rotation. Holiday rotation.
Floating Requirements: Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.
