Required Skills/Experience:
1 travel assignment required.
Tele interpretation; initiate/titrate insulin, heparin, and cardiac drips.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
PIV insertion, stable home vents, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, stable drips (lasix, protonix), blood product administration, continuous BiPap, drain management, and neutropenic precautions.
Unit Details:
Stepdown/PCU patient population, including drips (insulin, heparin, cardiac, etc.), sepsis, CHF, COPD, DKA, cirrhosis, dementia, and surgical urology, abdominal, and ortho patients.
Stepdown ratios: days 1:4-5, nights 1:5-6. Tele ratios: days 1:5-6, nights 1:6.
May require precepting students and new hires.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every third weekend. Every other holiday.
Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week; 48-hour contracts accepted upon request.
Floating Requirements:
First to float within skillset. Potential float to Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) and Deaconess Gateway (IN) campus (11 miles). 2-hour notice given for cross-campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
