Unit/Facility Details:

Manager Interviews (signing up for clinical interviews)

Required Skills/Experience:

• Will consider 1 year experience if experienced with all specialties offered at Mayo.

• Experience circulating the following case types:

  • General: gallbladders, appendectomies, colectomies, hernia repairs (laparoscopic and open)

  • Ortho: total joints (hips, knees, shoulders), sports medicine

  • Podiatry: toe amputation, bunionectomies, hammer toes

  • GYN: hysterectomies (mostly laparoscopic), tubals, hysteroscopies, DNCs

  • OB: C-sections (OR RNs will circulate, not LDRP RNs)

  • Endoscopic: colonoscopies, EGDs, bronchs. CST process the scopes

  • Urology: TURPs, cystos, lithotripsies, circumcisions

  • No robotics, high level traumas, neuro, etc.

Unit/Facility Details: Free parking

Special Requests:

• Do not need Pre-op/PACU experience but MUST be comfortable learning these areas here and taking on some duties. On callback, RNs will circulate case and recover patient after the case. Will also learn how to perform pre-op interviews to assist there if needed

• Must be comfortable monitoring patient on cardiac monitor and interpreting cardiac rhythms as will be monitoring post-case on callback

Shift & Scheduling:

• Call requirement: 4-8 call shifts per month (1630-0700 the following day) 1 weekend of call per month (Friday 0700 – Monday 0700) 20-minute response time Guest House available for call team only if normal housing is >20 minutes away If called in the night before, will try to let call team off early the following work day if possible

• Monday – Thursday. Department closed on Fridays, call team only.

• Weekend rotation: Call only

• Holiday Expectations: call only for major holidays. Staff cover most holidays, but could be on call for 1 summer/1 winter holiday
