Required Skills/Experience:
IV pediatric skills are required.
Pediatric experience and regular care of pediatric patients are required.
Adult ED experience is required because the role includes working in the triage area at times.
You will be required to complete a pass/fail Tele exam during Orientation. Passing Score is 80% and you are given 1 attempt to pass. If you do not pass, you will be cancelled from the assignment.
You will be required to complete a pass/fail Medication exam during Orientation. Passing Score is 80% and you are given 1 attempt to pass. If you do not pass, you will be cancelled from the assignment.
Special Requests:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Cannot accommodate special scheduling requests (i.e., asking for every Friday off). Travelers must be willing to be flexible and meet the needs of the unit.
Unit Details:
Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatric patients, adolescents, and adults.
The unit treats pediatric ED patients, including mental health patients; adults up to age 22 who still follow for a pediatric diagnosis may rarely be seen.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend and holiday coverage are required.
Shift start time is 3:00 PM, with flexibility to start four hours prior to or four hours after the posted start time based on limited critical department need.
Floating Requirements:
Can float to adult triage.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
