Travel Nurse (RN) - Telemetry Unit

Required Skills/Experience:
Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience with post-cardiac procedural care, including ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post-op day 1 open-heart care, and permanent pacemaker placements.
Ability to administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone.

Unit Details:
Procedures performed on the unit include IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemakers, and Foley insertions.
Unit equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, SCD machines, Hill-Rom beds, a Dinamap in each room, three Welch Allyn vital machines, wound vacs, temporary pacemakers, telemetry monitors, an EKG machine, a bladder scanner, a Doppler, and an Imobile for communication between team members.

Shift & Scheduling:
Flexible contract hours: 48 per week is an option.
Must work full-time hours, including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period.

Floating Requirements:
Contract nurses will be floated to any area where they have demonstrated competency.
