Required Skills/Experience:
- Med/Surg or PCU experience required.
Unit Details:
- Tech ratio is 1:12; at 16-18 patients, the unit has 2 techs.
- Uses AccuVein, Welch Allyn vitals machine, Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, bladder scanner, and Kangaroo pumps.
- Procedures include medication administration (oral, topical, IVs, central lines, PEG tube administration), bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, Foley catheterization, TPN, and blood administration.
- Works collaboratively with nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physiatrists to support patient functional improvement and independence.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
Floating Requirements:
- May float to other Med Surg departments, depending on experience.
