Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Unit Details: Patient population includes CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, chole, appe, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI. PCT support on the unit. Charge RN on the floor carries an assignment. Heparin titration based on aPTT results. No vents; intermittent BiPAP. Telemetry monitored remotely by monitor techs.

Shift & Scheduling: Rotating day/night shift. Weekends scheduled as needed, usually 1/2 the total weekends. Holidays as needed. No call.

Floating Requirements: Floating as needed based on census; external travelers float first.
