Additional Details:
Unit Details:
- Level IV trauma facility.
- Patient ratio: 1:4 depending on patient status.
- Uses ventilators, IABP (Cath Lab stays on site), A-lines, and CPAP.
- Adult and geriatric patient population.
- Common diagnoses/treatments include DKA, STEMI, CVA, and respiratory failure.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- No call.
Floating Requirements:
- Possible float to Med Surg if ICU is closed for the shift.
- Must be willing and able to float to Med Surg and take a patient ratio of 1:6.
