Required Skills/Experience:
- Cardiac patient populations, chest tubes, cardiac monitoring and cardiac drips, and cardiac stepdown populations.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Low-level ICU skills preferred.
Unit Details:
- Patient ratios: 1:5-6 for the cardiac patients and 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown population.
- Equipment: telemetry monitoring.
- Cardiac population with trauma and stepdown level of care; telemetry.
- Common diagnoses/treatments: chest pain, VATS, stroke/TIA, pre- and post-open heart surgery, pacemakers, heart blocks, vascular, CHF.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- On-call only if census is low.
