Required Skills/Experience: Critical care experience, pre-op experience, and PACU experience. Involves patient and/or significant others in decisions regarding care. Assesses and appropriately documents the educational needs and learning abilities of the patient and/or significant others during admission and subsequent assessments in the computerized care plan. Documents and assures that the plan of care includes identified problems and/or nursing diagnosis, nursing interventions, and goals/outcomes with target dates with the patient/family, promoting optimal health, healing, or dignified end of life when appropriate. Performs patient handoffs utilizing patient safety tools (SBAR, report at bedside, etc.) both from shift to shift and interdepartmentally as directed. Facilitates communication of pertinent findings with and/or makes rounds with physicians.
Shift & Scheduling: On-call as needed.
