Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Critical care training.
- 2 years CVICU or CVRU experience.
Preferred Credentials:
- Certification in critical care, cardiac surgery, or recovery room care preferred.
Unit Details:
- Mixed CVICU/CVRU unit caring for surgical heart patients.
- Ratios are 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity; holdover downgraded patients may be 1:3.
- ECMO, Impella, IABP, and LVAD care (supported by team).
- Hemodynamics, intubation/extubation, pulling chest tubes, pulling pacer wires, and frequent ambulation of patients.
- Uses GE monitors.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
Floating Requirements:
- Float to all ICUs, stepdown, and other units as needed.
