Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: 3-4 years of nursing experience, at least 2 should be NICU or SCN. Previous NICU or Level 2 SCN required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Postpartum experience preferred.
Required Credentials: NH permanent license or compact license must be in hand. Facility will not accept temp license.
Unit Details: Special care nursery is integrated with the labor and delivery unit. Cares for neonates 32 weeks and above, including grower feeders and ESC/neonatal withdrawal management. RNs attend vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections. Administers surfactant via LMA to appropriate candidates. Role includes assisting in deliveries, starting neonate IVs, managing babies on C-pap, and tube feedings.
Shift & Scheduling: No call.
Floating Requirements: May float to postpartum or pediatrics if needed, though this is not likely for travelers. Will take assignment in postpartum or pediatrics if comfortable; if without appropriate experience, assignment would be helping hands only.
