Required Skills/Experience: At least 2 years of RN Radiation Oncology experience; Medical Oncology/Oncology RN experience alone does not meet the requirement.
Unit Details: Fast-paced clinic environment focused on radiation oncology patient care. Provides patient assessment and nursing interventions related to the disease process, treatment course, and follow-up period. Emphasizes patient and family teaching, counseling, and supportive care. Assists with patient evaluations and examinations alongside the Radiation Oncologist. Coordinates care as a liaison with hospitals, departments, physician offices, and counseling/support groups. Provides referrals for recovery, rehabilitation, nursing home care, hospice, and nutritional services.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekdays.
