Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit

Unit Details:

• Combination of medical and surgical patients; not cardiac-heavy. Common patient populations/diagnoses include confusion, behavioral health, CIWA, CHF, COPD, UTI, cellulitis, sepsis, amputations, decubitus ulcers, and general surgeries.
• IV fluid and antibiotic therapies, strong medical/post-surgical assessment, heparin gtts., wound and wound-vac care, and basic telemetry.
• Teaching hospital; may require precepting students and new hires.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule.
• Every other holiday.
• Flexible contract hours: 48 per week upon request.

Floating Requirements:

• First to float within skillset. May float to Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) and potentially to Deaconess Henderson (KY - 11 miles). 2-hour notice given for cross-campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus; cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
