Required Skills/Experience: Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes Trach chare, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucomander, insulin drips, heparin drips, drips to titrate to HR NOT BP IV insertion and care, central line management Wound care and post op monitoring Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation Care coordination with interdisciplinary teams
Required Credentials: BCR (basic cardiac rhythm)
Preferred Credentials: National certification- Medical-surgical certification
Unit/Facility Details: Diverse population: typically includes patients who have had strokes and / or brain injuries Patients with acute or chronic disease Post-op surgeries Co-morbidities common to med-surg population: diabetes, hypertension, infections, CHF, electrolytes imbalances
Shift & Scheduling: On Call, Call Back Requirements: None Weekend Rotation: 6 shifts on a 6 week schedule (6 out of 12 shifts) Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
Floating Requirements: All med surg / telemetry units
