Travel Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care Unit

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Demonstrated contract experience in colder climates (Midwest, Northeast, Mountain regions, etc.) is preferred to ensure reliability through weather events.

Unit Details: Patient ratios: 1:4/5 on days, 1:5/6 on nights. May be assigned medical patients with transfer orders waiting for a bed. Occasionally may be assigned as a 1:1 sitter or utilized as helping hands. Primary patient population includes complex medical patients, including ETOH, CVA, and sepsis. Skills commonly used on the unit include wound care, wound vacs, antibiotic therapy, IV starts, neuro assessment, and restraints.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend or less depending on unit needs. Holidays as assigned. Can be low censused and put on call. Call back minimum is 2 hours. Orientation week may have reduced hours. Hours may also be reduced during holidays when the unit is closed.

Floating Requirements: Float to inpatient units.
