Required Skills/Experience: Adult SNF/IRF/acute experience.
Unit Details: Adult rehabilitation population. Types of care include neurological rehabilitation for patients with injury to the brain, spinal cord, or nerves; spinal cord injury rehabilitation; brain injury rehabilitation addressing physical dysfunction, cognitive impairments, and behavioral issues; stroke rehabilitation; amputation rehabilitation; orthopedic rehabilitation for fractures, dislocations, or joint replacements. Orthopedic rehabilitation includes gait training, stair climbing, transfer training, muscle strengthening and endurance, fall safety, dressing, bathing, toileting, and operating a vehicle. Wound care, respiratory therapy support including oxygen, tracheostomy care, CPAP, and BiPAP, IV antibiotic therapy, and PICC line insertion. PT/OT staff oversee about 9 patients for team conference reporting, but may not see each patient every day. Equipment includes In-motion, Synaptic, EKSO, and VR.
Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Fri. One weekend shift per month; weekend hours are 8 on Saturday and Sunday.
Floating Requirements: Ability to float to the Gilbert location (15 minutes away) if needed due to census.
