Required Credentials:
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy.
B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
Special Requests:
Clinician's may be eligible for an earlier start date if they have recent PA fingerprint results and PA Child Abuse Clearance Results (obtained within <5 years).
Unit Details:
Pharmacy services support centralized and decentralized medication-use systems.
Pharmacists interpret and evaluate physician orders and prescriptions for inpatient and outpatient treatment.
Pharmacists review patient medication records for allergies, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplications, enter orders, and verify medications.
Pharmacists prepare and dispense intravenous admixture solutions using aseptic technique in a sterile product preparation area.
Pharmacists communicate with physicians and nurses to clarify orders that are unclear, illegible, or incomplete.
Pharmacists assist in supervising pharmacy technicians, pharmacy aides, student interns, and other ancillary personnel involved in providing pharmaceutical care.
Pharmacists provide medication and practice-related education and training and serve as preceptors for pharmacy students and pharmacy residents.
Shift & Scheduling:
Night shift has a 7 on 7 off schedule.
Pharmacists work every 4th weekend.
If a night pharmacist is able to work a different shift, that will work.
