Travel Nurse (RN) - Pulmonary Unit

Required Skills/Experience: 1-2 years of experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: RN experience with respiratory/vented patients strongly preferred.

Unit Details: Respiratory-focused, vent-dependent patient population. Medical environment, not traditional Med/Surg. Nurses do not manage ventilators; RTs handle vents. Ratios: D/E 1:9, N 1:12. Nurse responsibilities include IV starts, drips, blood administration, EKGs, medication titrations, glucose monitoring, wound vac changes, complex and simple wound dressings, trach care, suctioning, straight cath, Foley care, port access, central line dressing changes, and wound measurements.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend is required.

Floating Requirements: Will float to like chronic care units: RCU2, SDU, and TRU; travelers float first. For a 12 hour shift, may be on one unit for 4 hours and another for 8 hours. Respiratory Step-Down Unit ratios: D/E 1:9, N 1:12. TRU includes TBI and medically complex chronic care patients; ratios D/E 1:7-10, N 1:12.
