You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit & facility.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Minimum Years Experience: 2+ years acute OR experience. If candidate only has 2 years OR experience, must be high-level experience. Willing to consider candidate with adults + peds experience
- First-time traveler? No, unless extensive OR and Peds experience (5+ years)
- Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Level IV NICU
Preferred Skills/Experience: Highly preferred – Robotics, high-level neuro, eyes, dental (send for manager approval if missing these skills). Scrubbing above case types
Shift & Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: Unlikely, but could be assigned a weekend shift if Weekend Staff are off. Typically only call on weekend
- On call? Yes. Approximately 2 weeknights (1900-0700) and 1 weekend (1900 F – 0700 M) every 6 weeks. 30-minute response time
Floating Requirements: If yes, where? PICU here to assist with procedure, NICU cases in Tacoma General (connected by walkway on same campus)
