Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 1 year of hospital experience (not CVS/Walgreens).

Unit Details: Covers all hospital areas including ED, ICU, Med/Surg, ARU, WMCHA, OB, BHS, Cath Lab, Surgery, the outpatient infusion center, and some outpatient prescriptions through the ED during the night. Duties include order validation, kinetic dosing, medication checking prior to distribution, answering nursing questions, overseeing compounding at night, and filling outpatient ED prescriptions during the night. Only pharmacist on the night shift; one technician works alongside the pharmacist overnight. Uses Pyxis ADCs, IV prep compounding software, and a tube system.

Shift & Scheduling: 2000 – 0700am Wednesday (2000) through following Wednesday (0700). Every other weekend. Holiday coverage required only if the holiday falls on a scheduled shift. No call. During initial training, includes a few day shifts and at least 2 shift-specific shifts. Flexible contract hours: 72 hours per two weeks.

Floating Requirements: All hospital areas including ED, ICU, MEDSURG, ARU, WMCHA, OB, BHS, Cath Lab, Surgery, outpatient infusion center, some outpatient prescriptions through the ED during the night.
