Travel Nurse (RN) - Step Down Unit

Additional Details:

In order to receive travel rate, clinician's claimed residence must match address on driver's license.

Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/Tdap declinations.

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years PCU / Med-Surg Telemetry Acute Care experience. Will accept a Med/Surg or Stepdown RN; same credentialing for both skill sets.

Required Credentials: Driver's license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80% or national benchmark, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Skills Checklist required during onboarding. Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80% or national benchmark, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of at least 80%, 2 attempts allowed.

Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Every other holiday.

Floating Requirements: Traveler will be placed on the unit with the greatest need, either PCU or Med/Surg/Tele, based on skills. Will need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed.
