Travel Nurse (RN) - Psychiatric Unit

Required Skills/Experience:

• Recent general adult experience in the last 3 months.
• 5 years of experience as an RN required (inpatient psych experience must be within the last 3 months, LTC will not be accepted).

Special Requests:

• RTO will not be approved in the first 2 weeks during orientation and cannot exceed 7 days.
• Missed shifts must be made up prior to contract ending.
• RTO blackout dates: 8/31-9/4; 9/5-9/8; 11/2-11/6; 11/30-12/4; 11/25-11/30; 12/23-12/27; 12/31-1/1/27.

Unit Details:

• Adult inpatient behavioral health unit serving patients ages 18 and older.
• Provides short-term, 24-hour care for severe mental health and addiction problems, including depression, bipolar disorder, dual diagnosis, withdrawal, anxiety disorders, and thought disorders such as schizophrenia.
• Focuses on skilled assessment, rapid intervention, acute crisis stabilization, medically assisted drug and alcohol withdrawal, stabilization, and recovery education.
• Works with the multidisciplinary team and provides clinical supervision of MHWs to support safe, therapeutic care.
• Must be willing to take charge shifts as scheduled.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
• Possible call.
• Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
