Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2 years ICU/Neuro experience required.
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
  • Continuous IV sedation.
  • ICP monitoring.
  • Vent experience.
  • CRRT management.
  • Spinal drains.
  • Bolts/ICP monitoring.
  • Limited neuro experience is acceptable; candidates with no neuro experience will not be accepted.

Unit Details:

  • Adult and geriatric patient population.
  • Neuro/stroke patients, vascular surgeries, multi-level back surgeries, and general critical care patients.
  • Fresh post-op craniotomy; a-lines and central lines; neuro patients with NIH evaluations.
  • Hemodialysis is managed by dialysis staff; CRRT is managed by the RN.
  • General ICU with a heavy neuro focus.
  • No CABG patients. No ECMO.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Every other weekend.
  • No call.

Floating Requirements:

  • You must be willing to float, work weekends, and generally just be very flexible.
  • Float all 3 ICUs as there's no specific unit assignment (CCU/SCU/NCU). NCU is primarily neuro patients, but CCU and SCU can have neuro patients as well. Must be willing to float to ED to care for CC admits.
