Required Skills/Experience: Experience in transplants, dopplers, and renal artery stenosis.
Preferred Credentials: ARDMS ABD preferred.
Special Requests: All RTO requests must be presented at time of submission; no more than 1 week of time off will be approved. Travelers who have worked for Beth Israel Lahey Health as perm or per diem within the last six months will not be accepted; must be separated from the facility for six months to be considered.
Unit Details: Performs abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, and some vascular exams. Assists physicians during sterile invasive procedures, including amniocenteses, cyst punctures, thoracenteses, and biopsies. May work outside the Ultrasound Suite, including the O.R., intensive care units, Emergency Department, and nursing floors using portable ultrasound equipment. Records images on PACS and may provide preliminary interpretation to the requesting physician after discussion with the radiologist. Uses Trophon EPR system for high-level disinfection of intracavitary ultrasound transducers.
Shift & Scheduling: Rotating times and weekends. Shared on-call duties for 24 hour coverage with fellow sonographers after reaching minimum required expertise.
