Required Skills/Experience: PEG tube care/feedings, CVC/PICC/Midline usage and care, and tracheostomy patient experience required.
Unit Details: Common patient population includes respiratory failure, post-surgical, wound care, IV antibiotics, post-CVA, post-trauma, and cardiac patients. RNs titrate Heparin drips. Cares for patients with vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow; RT manages respiratory equipment. Housewide tele packs; telemetry is monitored by the monitor tech stationed in the ICU.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and to fill holes. Holiday rotation and to fill holes. No call at this time, but subject to change.
Floating Requirements: Qualified med-surg nurses may float to ICU. Med-surg nurses will float to Acute Rehab from time to time.
