Required Skills/Experience: Acute disorder, chronic disorder, functional activities, standardized assessments, developmental testing/treatment, mental retardation. Ability to transition from inpatient, outpatient, and LTC settings. Infection prevention / fall/risk assessment.
Preferred Skills/Experience: National patient safety goals/core measures, billing, feeding techniques - oral/motor, disability sequence test preferred. Prior pediatric experience preferred.
Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission. All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Candidates' permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility. If previously employed as permanent staff at any Providence facility, must be separated for at least 3 months prior to working as a traveler. Time off approved on an individual basis upon offer. Open to accommodating a block schedule. Housing move-in is available no earlier than 72 hours before contract begins and no later than 24 hours after contract ends. Pets are not allowed in facility-provided housing. Housing is typically sized for the traveler only; additional family members require facility approval. Only the traveler is authorized to operate the vehicle. Must provide a valid driver's license and proof of insurance prior to operating the vehicle; personal auto insurance must include rental car coverage. Vehicle use is limited to around town and within a 30-mile radius from the facility. If time off is taken during the contract, the vehicle must be turned in and a new vehicle will be issued upon return.
Unit Details: Infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population; largely outpatient pediatrics. Department serves hospital (IP and swing bed), LTC, and outpatient.
Shift & Scheduling: No call. 72 hours per 2 weeks; traveler can be called off for 1, 8-hour shift per 2 weeks.
