Travel Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Nicotine-free campus. Must test negative for nicotine.

Required Skills/Experience: 3 years of clinical experience in a Level III-IV NNICU. Must have Level IV experience. Level I or II NICU experience will not be considered.

Unit Details: Ratios: 1:1-3/4 based on acuity. Ancillary support includes 1-2 PCTs per shift; mill lab/tech is located near the unit. Advanced Practice is present on the unit. Uses Pyxis. Patient population includes 23 weeks micro-premies, VLBW, usual complications of prematurity, general surgeries, chronic lung, bleeds, spina bifida, diaphragmatic hernia, NEC perforation, gastro, cleft lip/palate/mandible, transfers from surrounding Level II NNICUs, PDA ligations, and body cooling. Equipment includes GE, Servo, Kangaroo Care, ECMO, Nitric Oxide, HFOV, Jet Vent (occasional), IMV, Omni beds, and Giraffe isolettes. Respiratory and anesthesia are available for support. RTs manage ventilators.

Shift & Scheduling: Scheduling by manager or scheduler; no self-scheduling. No on-call requirements. Every other weekend is required. Holidays required, as needed.

Floating Requirements: Floating required within the ICU cluster, including PICU, CVICU, Burn ICU, and IMU. Travelers are first to float.
