Travel Nurse (RN) - Neurologic Intensive Care Unit

Required Skills/Experience:
Strong experience in EVD, ICP, angiogram post-care, CRRT, carotid, and embolizations is required.
SDH/SAH/TNK experience is required.
Teaching hospital experience is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
Community hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests:
RTO: If you have more than 5 days of requested time off, time will be added at the end of the contract to ensure a full 13 weeks.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Please do not request more than 1 holiday off.

Unit Details:
Adult and geriatric patient population, including critically ill ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients, non-traumatic neurosurgery and neurology patients 18 years and older, and medical overflow patients with diagnoses including stroke, tumors, SAH, SDH, and TNK.
Postoperative neurosurgery and neuro-endovascular surgery procedures and care include, but are not limited to, EVD/ICP monitoring, care after IV and/or IA tPA administration, mechanical thrombectomy, AVM repair, aneurysm repair, carotid stenting, craniectomy, embolizations, coils, flow diverter, CRRT, ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, blood pressure management, and HemoSpheres.
Awareness of DNV Comprehensive Stroke accreditation requirements is part of the unit context.
Could care for COVID patients.

Shift & Scheduling:
RTO max: 7 days.
Travelers are expected to work 2 of 3 upcoming major holidays: Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, or New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. If the contract falls over only 2 of these holidays, travelers are expected to work 1 of 2 holidays.
Weekend coverage is every other weekend.
One hardship shift is required, depending on the timeframe of the assignment.

Floating Requirements:
May be asked to float to other floors as needed, including ICU and acute care.
Float coverage includes all ICUs and Med-Surg with a 3-patient assignment.
