Travel Nurse (RN) - Acute Care Float Pool

Required Credentials:

• College diploma of nursing.
• Temp Illinois licensure is not accepted.

Unit Details:

• Cares for acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients, including complex post-operative surgical patients.
• Common diagnoses include coronary artery disease, angina, myocardial ischemia, myocardial infarction, dysrhythmia, syncope, congestive heart failure, strokes, cancer, cellulitis, post-surgical care, and chest pain.
• Includes IV venipuncture, blood administration, lab monitoring, and preparing patients for procedures.

Shift & Scheduling:

• On-call: none.
• Every other weekend.
• Every other holiday.

Floating Requirements:

• Floats to various inpatient units including Medical-Oncology, Surgical-Orthopedic, Cardiovascular Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit, Mental Health Unit, and Acute Rehab.
• Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
