Required Skills/Experience:
Telemetry oncology and cardiac experience required.
Vent and transplant experience are required. The unit will not consider anyone who is not strongly proficient in these areas.
Post-transplant care is required.
Must have experience in an Academic Level I or II trauma center or similar size hospital.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
MS/Tele experience preferred.
Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Special Requests:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Must be willing to work 12/24 and 12/25; the unit will not approve requests off for these holidays.
Unit Details:
Also supports the Thoracic Surgery unit.
Provides care to acutely ill surgical and trauma patients.
Cares for general-care and IMC-level patients.
Acutely ill adult patients may have multiple comorbidities, varied medical diagnoses, and hemodynamic instability; specialty populations include cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post-lung transplant patients.
Nurse-patient ratios are 1:4 in general care and 1:2 in IMC.
Shift & Scheduling:
Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required.
