Required Skills/Experience: Excellent understanding of AORN Standards. Clinicians should have strong Trauma Level 1 experience and/or be willing to work with difficult cases.
Preferred Credentials: BSN or higher in nursing preferred.
Unit Details: OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center is Oklahoma’s only Level I Trauma Center. The perioperative circulator plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures whose protective reflexes or self-care abilities may be compromised. Provides direct and indirect professional nursing care in the operating room. Responsible for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of care delivered within the perioperative environment. Individualizes patient care according to health status, age, and the surgery/procedure being performed.
Floating Requirements: Travelers will be first to float.
