Required Skills/Experience:
MS/Tele, telemetry, insulin, and rapid response skills required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
2 years of experience preferred.

Special Requests:
RTO is due at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs.
Any candidate that has 7+ days and/or includes holiday RTO will have to be submitted to the facility for approval and can delay the process.
If unavailable for emergency response duties, please do not confirm new assignments or extensions during hurricane season.
If your start date is within 90 days, you must complete all labs within 72 hours of signing an offer with MUSC.
Unit Details:
12-bed general medical-surgical unit.
Adult and geriatric patient population.
Staffing plan supports 1:6 normal ratios but if there is an unplanned absence that cannot be covered, the unit will flex to 1:7.
Typical adult medical-surgical diagnoses include diabetes, renal disease, hypertension, coronary artery disease, stroke, chest pain, and altered mental status. All patients are eligible for telemetry monitoring, which is performed by monitor technicians in a central location.
Telemedicine is used; instruction will be provided.
During hurricane season (June through November; peak months August and September), travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend required.
Call required: prn low census.
Floating Requirements:
Float within scope to med-surg units and sister facilities to meet facility needs.
You must have applied for your South Carolina license prior to submission.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
