  • Must be able to titrate drips.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Prefer RNs who are able to scrub.

Special Requests:

  • Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
  • Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
  • Current CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity employees, including full-time, part-time, or PRN staff, are not eligible.
  • RTO must be submitted upfront and is limited to 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.
  • Manager will work with block scheduling.

Unit Details:

  • Postpartum ratios: 1:2-3 couplets and 1:3-4 surgical/medical.
  • Cares for obstetric, antepartum, triage, and postpartum patients, including MgSO4, pre-eclampsia, gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes, and occasional higher-risk pregnancies accepted at 23+ weeks.
  • Procedures and cases include vaginal and C-section deliveries, hysterectomy, bladder repairs, and mastectomies.
  • Travelers may work triage based on experience.
  • Common titratable drips include pitocin, magnesium, and occasional insulin drips.
  • Common medications include procardia, labetalol push, TXA for hemorrhage, methergine, hemabate, cytotec, and cervidil.
  • Remote telemetry-capable unit; travelers should be able to place patches correctly and read telemetry in Phase 1 recovery for C-sections only.
  • Uses GE/Corometrics EFM systems (8 of the 129, 5 of the 259 CA-X series, and 2 older 128 series).

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Weekend rotation: every third weekend.
  • Holidays as needed.

Floating Requirements:

  • First to float.
  • May float to Peds Med-Surg, NICU feeder-growers, Med-Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, or Psych as a 1:1 sitter or helping hands.
