Additional Information
In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on drivers license.
Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license.
Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations.
Special Requests
Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles.
Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.
Required Credentials
Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of at least 80%, with only 2 attempts permitted.
Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization. Only 2 attempts allowed.
Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization. Only 2 attempts allowed.
Preferred Skills/Experience
Cardiac advanced device therapy management, at minimum IABP, Impella, and Swan-Ganz management, preferred.
Unit Details
80% cardiac surgery and 20% advanced heart failure patient population.
High-risk cardiac surgery including open heart recovery, heart transplants, LVAD implants, ECMO, Impella, IABP, CRRT, and Swan Ganz catheters/CCO monitoring.
Uses COMPASS.
Floating Requirements
Float PRN to MICU, SICU, Medical Stepdown, or Cardiac Stepdown units.
