Travel Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• ECMO experience preferred.

Preferred Credentials:

• Critical Care Course preferred.

Special Requests:

• Assignment length may vary: 16 - 18 weeks.
• Scheduling preferences, including block scheduling and requests for or against three shifts in a row, are considered based on unit needs.

Unit Details:

• High-acuity ICU caring for adult and geriatric neuro, cardiac, and postsurgical patients, including multi-system organ failure, multisystem trauma, ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, conscious sedation, and advanced respiratory modalities.
• Uses Alaris pumps, ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, pressors, IABP, EVD, ICP monitoring, transvenous pacing, CRRT, Impella, Swan-Ganz catheters, and ECMO.
• Night support includes intensivist/hospitalist coverage, two mid-levels, two residents, a rapid response team, a resource RN, and a house supervisor available 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
• Initial schedule is assigned based on unit need; self-scheduling available at the next opening.

Floating Requirements:

• Expected to float to other levels of care as needed.
