Special Requests: You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility. Requested time off will not be accepted between 8/5/26-8/20/26. Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler. Time off requests require manager approval.

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years of CVOR experience - Level 1 or 2 trauma experience. Experience with CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, thoracic robotic cases (lobectomy, hernia repair), generator exchanges, lead extractions, cardiac organ procurement/harvesting, and fem-pop bypass.

Required Credentials: Graduation from an accredited school required.

Unit Details: Cardio and thoracic surgeries including CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, thoracic cases, open vascular cases, AAA, carotids, and conversions. Uses a 2-tech model for every case; both techs scrub, set up, and drape. The primary tech passes instruments and the second tech supports the surgeon and team. Everyone rotates through these positions routinely. Uses Epic, Omnicell, and Alaris.

Shift & Scheduling: 8 or 10 hr. shifts - TBD during interview. Weekend rotation: on-call only. On-call one overnight per week 7p-7a and every 3rd weekend. Ideally 1-2 days/week (1500-0700) and 1 weekend every 3rd Fri 1500-0700 Monday), subject to change as department needs change. 15 min response time. Potential to work every holiday.
