Travel Nurse (RN) - Oncology Clinic

Required Skills/Experience: Clinic experience required. Experience as first assist and chaperoning for provider with exams and procedures done in clinic.

Special Requests: You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility. Time off may be approved for up to 7 days, excluding holidays, as long as the traveler is willing to extend the contract to accommodate.

Unit Details: Outpatient clinic caring for adults 18+ with medical oncology/hematology, including pre-transplant and post-transplant BMT patients. Average 15-25 patients seen per day with CA support. Uses Epic Ambulatory. Responsibilities include rooming patients; obtaining vital signs, review of systems, medication reconciliation, and weights; obtaining orders; processing patients for infusions/communication if cleared; chart checks; procedure setup; and referral review. Chemo nurses perform port access and blood draws.

Shift & Scheduling: No weekends. No call. No major holidays; will be scheduled to work minor holidays when the clinic is open. Day off is based on clinic needs each week.

Floating Requirements: Will routinely work with different physicians within Medical Oncology and may occasionally be pulled to another clinic outside of Medical Oncology, though this is unlikely.
