References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Prefer prior neuro experience

Shift & Scheduling:

  • 7-7, Schedule is made out by leadership for 6 wks at a time, travelers are expected to be flexible and help to fill gaps in permanent scheduling.
  • Days, 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6 week schedule.
  • Schedules are released 4–6 weeks in advance and follow one of two formats: Option A: • Scheduled at a single facility for the week • May float within that facility if needed Option B – Just-In-Time (JIT): • Facility assigned 1–2 hours before shift start via call
  • Holiday Requirements May be asked to go into the Holiday Rotation
  • Is there a call or standby requirement? Rare, for low census

Floating Requirements:

  • **NO HOME BASE FACILITY ** MUST be 60 miles from each facility! Must float within Zone 1: (Based around Colorado Springs, CO): Penrose Hospital - 7 miles from Colorado Springs City Center 2222 N Nevada Ave Colorado Springs, CO St. Francis Medical Center 12 miles from Colorado Springs City Center 6001 E Woodmen Rd Colorado Springs, CO St. Francis InterQuest 13 miles from Colorado Springs City Center 10860 New Allegiance Drive Colorado Springs, CO St. Mary Corwin 46 miles from Colorado Springs City Center 1008 Minnequa Ave Pueblo, CO St. Thomas More 45 miles from Colorado Springs City Center 1338 Phay Ave Canon City, CO
  • Must Float within Zone 1 Floating -Penrose Hospital, St Francis, St Francis InterQuest, St Mary Corwin, St Thomas More; May be asked to float into any other acuity level; ICU (take low acuity holds with skillset), PCU/Stepdown, & MS-Tele.
  • What units are included in the float pool Mutliple units ranging for General MS-Tele into various specialities from Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, & ED Obs
  • Floating roles: Travelers are expected to float throughout the zone they are hired into. Each zone covers a 60 mile radius from the zone's city center which is where the 60 mile verbiage comes into play. The traveler is responsible for obtaining housing that makes this feasible as the requirement to float throughout the full 60 mile zone applies regardless of where the traveler obtains housing.
