Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Requires 3 years overall OR experience with 2 years dedicated cardiac and vascular.
• 2+ years in cardiac, vascular, and transplant experience.
• General OR and thoracic experience required.
• Hard stop: must have 4's for heart/lung transplant, aortic aneurysm repair, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), laparoscopic cardiac surgery, mitral valve replacement, ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD), abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, arteriovenous fistula repair, endovascular aneurysm repair, femoral popliteal bypass graft, and TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair).

Required Credentials:

• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests:

• Cannot apply to any Ohio State University facilities if you have an active application to any of the James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities.

Unit Details:

• Adult and geriatric patient population.
• Focuses on heart and vascular care, surgery, and interventions.
• Common open cases include CABG, valves, AAA, ascending and descending dissections, amputations, fistulas, first ribs, and ECMO.
• Common endovascular cases include TEVAR, EVAR, TAVR, fistulograms, angiograms, aortograms, and radiofrequency ablations.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Friday/Saturday plus 1 weekday night. No call. Must be flexible.
