References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles.
Unit Details: Adolescent, infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient population. Medical ED with a separate CPEP unit within the ED staffed by ED nursing and PCT staff. The CPEP includes an evaluation space and an extended observation space. The unit is staffed with a nurse, PCT, and CPEP behavioral health team at all times if patients are present. Patients are triaged and medically cleared prior to entering the CPEP space and may require labs/EKG while in this space. Staff typically do 6-hour blocks in this space on days/mids; nights may do 12 hours in this space. Security posts in the ED. Mostly acute-on-chronic conditions including MI, STEMI, CHF, COPD, cancer, dialysis patients, wounds, vented patients, behavioral health crisis, and usual ED-related visits. Dialysis is on site, and wound care and vent services are available on site.
Shift & Scheduling: 3x12 nights/mids rotation - 1900-0700/1100-2300. Every other weekend.
