Travel Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health

Required Skills/Experience:
Tube feedings are required.
NG tube insertion and maintenance are required.
Foley catheter insertion and maintenance are required.
Starting and maintaining IVs are required.
Voluntary and involuntary commitment skills are required.
One year of Med/Surg experience within the last 5 years is required; this must be from a Med/Surg unit or a true psychiatric Med/Surg unit, not from floating.
Previous Charge Experience: Required.
Must be willing to perform the charge role for all areas, including med-psych; frequency depends on unit need.

Special Requests:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Blackout RTO dates are 11/26, 12/24-12/25, and 12/31-1/1.

Unit Details:
ECT is performed in the unit court.
CPI will be offered onsite.
Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population.
The unit cares for involuntary patients.

Shift & Scheduling:
1 weekend shift per week (Friday is not considered weekend).

Floating Requirements:
Must float PRN among 3 facilities within 24 mi of the main facility: Mesa, Roosevelt, and Maryvale; must be willing to float down to BHT PRN.
RNs will not float to Med/Surg units; they will remain on psychiatric units, although some patients may have minor Med/Surg needs.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
