Travel Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery Unit

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Experience in L&D, LDRP, and postpartum care; must be able to manage a 3 couplet assignment.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• LDRP model experience.
• Training in labor and delivery, postpartum, C-section circulation, and special care nursery.
• Level 1 Nursery, Mother/Baby, and circulation for C-sections.

Unit Details:

• Triage of obstetrical patients; use of external fetal heart monitoring; start and maintain peripheral IVs; administer antihypertensives and insulin drips; assist with vaginal delivery; recover C-sections; perform APGAR scoring; baby nurse responsibilities including cord sample collection, ID/security banding, and radiant warmer/thermoregulation; newborn assessment; epidural anesthesia/pain assessment and management; postpartum and mother/baby care.
• Patient population: neonates and adults.
• Equipment includes EFM, IV, and Omnicell medication system.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Self scheduling.
• Call required.

Special Requests:

• No pre-approved time off per contract.
