Required Skills/Experience: In addition to meeting the unit experience requirements, your work experience needs to reflect at least 12 months (1 year) of uninterrupted experience working in the same unit/specialty you’re applying to. General, Ortho, OBGYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand, and Podiatry experience required.

Unit Details: Responsible for patient safety, documentation, workflow coordination, and sterile field support during surgical procedures. Provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties within a Level III Trauma facility. Supports a diverse caseload that includes General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology (GYN), Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, Podiatry, and other surgical specialties as needed. Responsibilities include patient assessment and advocacy, surgical case preparation, equipment and supply management, documentation, specimen handling, medication administration, and coordination of multidisciplinary team activities. Uses PICIS.
Shift & Scheduling: Mon, Tues, Fri. Holidays required. Call required: split among OR RNs, average of 7 calls in a 6 week period. Weekday call starts at 3pm to 7am, and weekend call shifts are 12 hour shifts 7a-7p or 7p to 7a. Flexible contract hours: 48 hours per week available. Max RTO: 1 week.
