Required Skills/Experience:
EKG and cardiac drips are required.
Dedicated PCU work history is not required.
Required Credentials:
RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.
No medical marijuana cards accepted.
Special Requests:
Monthly parking options include the North Surface Lot ($73), Clayton Ave. Building Southeast Lot ($63), and Clayton Taylor Garage ($73); prices and availability may vary.
Straight night shifts may use employee parking at no charge.
Orientation parking at the Laclede Garage (4929 Forest Park Ave, St. Louis, MO 63108) costs $15.00; Barnes does not validate or reimburse the charge.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details:
Adult patient population.
Unit procedures include cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/AICD placement, echocardiogram, treadmill stress test, nuclear stress test, cardiac MRI/CT, cardioversion/ablation, carotid Doppler, pulmonary function test, and anti-arrhythmic drug loading.
Patient population includes CHF, arrhythmias/A-fib/A-flutter, ACS-STEMI/NSTEMI, heart valve disease, CAD, pulmonary hypertension, hypertensive crisis, chest pain/shortness of breath/syncope, pacemaker/AICD malfunction, and acute renal failure.
The unit has mixed PCU and telemetry acuity.
Shift & Scheduling:
BJC policy: Every other weekend required.
No call.
No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
