Required Skills/Experience: Intraprocedural gastroenterology experience required. Required procedural skills include biopsy (hot and cold), Savary dilatation, balloon dilatation, variceal banding, therapeutic injection/polyp raising/tattooing, foreign body retrieval (Roth net and rat tooth), clip application, snare (hot and cold), Prechel pressure, ERCP cannulization, ERCP biliary duct dilation, ERCP lithotripsy, ERCP stent placement, ERCP sphincterotomy, ERCP balloon sweep, ERCP basket retrieval, ERCP contrast injection, endoscopic hemostat, argon plasma coagulation, and Minnesota tube.
Required Credentials: RN degree required.
Unit Details: Gastroenterology service with pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care for adult mid- to high-acuity patients. Common procedures include colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and bronchoscopy. Uses Olympus equipment.
Shift & Scheduling: On-call weekends and evenings.
Floating Requirements: May float to PreOp if Endoscopy case volume is low.
