Travel Nurse (RN) - Step Down Unit

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Special Requests:
Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.
Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years.
Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years.

Unit Details:
Patient ratios are 1:3 for Stepdown and 1:4-6 for the floor.
Typical MedSurg population includes chest pain, COPD, AMS, pneumonia, UTI, abdominal pain, overflow for most services, and hospice; patients will 'flip' to GIP Hospice on 7 West.
Stepdown has drips; the floor only gets PCAs, heparin, etc.
RNs must be able to read strips in conjunction with telemetry monitor techs, who continuously monitor strips.

Shift & Scheduling:
Night shift hours: 7p-7:30a.
2 weekends per schedule.
Work into the perm staff holiday schedule.

Floating Requirements:
Can be pulled to any floor or stepdown unit.
