References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Required work setting experience: Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown. Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. Cardiovascular skills: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Sheath Removal, TR Band. Gastrointestinal skills: Feeding tube care and management. Genitourinary/renal skills: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure. IV therapy/phlebotomy skills: Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Medication skills: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCA, Procedural Sedation Administration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips. Neurological/psychiatric case experience: Craniotomy, CVA, Pre/Post neurosurgery, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury. Orthopedics case experience: Ortho Trauma, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total Joint Replacements. Plastic surgery case experience: Skin grafts, Surgical drains. Respiratory skills: Care of Ventilated Patient, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management. Professional topics and skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac. Must be able to take tracheostomies with ventilators.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: Ideally no more than 5 days of RTO.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. Very fast-paced unit with high patient throughput. Only dedicated IMC unit in the hospital, caring for patients of all diagnoses and patient types. Free charge; charge may take up to 4 patients if needed, though this does not happen often.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No on-call required.
