Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Oncology

Unit Details: Uses Meditech. Travelers work on the floor only. Charge nurse is typically out of the staffing grid unless unusual circumstances. Telemetry with central monitoring; reading strips is not required. Generally 3 nurse aides on days. Patient population includes acute oncology symptoms, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, sickle cell crisis, hematology, medical overflow, oncology, and end-of-life care. Outpatient patients may come to the floor to finish treatment if running late after the outpatient area closes.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Holidays rotate with staff.

Floating Requirements: Rarely floats to medical acute.
