Additional Information

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Minimum Level III NICU experience of at least 3 years, or 2 years at Level IV NICU; anything less is a screen.

Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations.

Special Requests: Previous permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months to qualify for a travel position. RTO must be listed at time of submission.

Unit Details: Level III/IV NICU caring for neonates and infants, including 23-24 week gestation patients. Travelers usually do not admit babies; the unit has a dedicated Admit Nurse in that role. No ECMO. Uses CPAP/BiPap, High Frequency Vents, Oscillators, Vents, Blood/Blood Products Administration, Cardioversion / Defibrillation, Cooling / Warming Blanket, Feeding Tubes, PICC/Central Lines, and Syringe Pumps. Attends High Risk Deliveries and Neonatal Surgeries.

Shift & Scheduling: Intermittent weekend coverage required.

Floating Requirements: Rare to float due to high need for RNs in the NICU. May float to Issaquah and Edmonds for NICU/SCN as needed. May float to Peds, PICU, or NBN; if floated outside NICU, only newborns and infants will be assigned. May be assigned as a sitter for all units; sitter assignments do not require patient care.

Details:

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
